Improved Features
Completed Activities remain in the ACT! for Notes Public and Personal Calendars
When an Activity has been marked “Completed”, it will remain in the Calendar views and will be marked with a small green check mark. An Activity document that has NOT been completed will display a red “X”. Keep track of your accomplishments!
Preview Pane
Quickly view a highlighted document or its response documents (e.g., Activities, Notes, etc) by pressing the “Preview” area at the bottom of the screen, without opening the document.
Upgraded Web Interface
New features (e.g., “Opportunity”, MS Office Integration) have been added to ACT! For Notes Web browser!
User Field “Configurator”
Provide control over which User Defined fields for Company, Contact, Opportunity and Activity documents will display, via the Preferences document. Keep your forms “clean” and prevent Users from using fields inappropriately; no programming required.
“Replace or Clear Field Values” Utility – APPEND
A User can now add (i.e., “Append”) a value to the “multi-value” fields in one or more Contact or Company document.
Example: A User needs to assign a set of Contacts to a Group, “Northeast Region”. The field, “Groups”, is a multi-value field, which allow you to select or create many different values.This new feature allows you to add a new value to many Contact or Company documents, all at once!
“Replace or Clear Field Values” Utility – REPLACE
A User can replace (i.e., “Swap”) a value in one or more “multi-value” fields with another value for one or more Contact or Company documents.
Example: A User needs to change a Group name for a set of Contacts from “Northeast Region” to “NE Region”.This new feature allows you to do this for many Contact or Company documents, all at once.
“Set Manager and Access” - APPEND
A User can add (i.e., “Append”) a User Name to the Manager, Read, or Write Access fields for one or more Contact or Company documents.
Example: A User needs to ADD a new Manager to the Security Access for a set of documents. This new time-saving feature allows you to do this all at one time, rather than one at time.
“Set Manager and Access” – REPLACE
A User can replace (i.e., “Swap”) a User Name in the Manager, Read, or Write Access fields with another User Name for one or more Contact or Company documents.
Example: A User needs to change one of the Managers for several documents. This new time-saving feature allows you to do this all at one time, rather than one at time.
Associate the values in a single Pop-up document with several forms
For example, one “State” pop-up doc will work for Company, Contact and User.
